excuse me for a moment.
ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Really, you got clusterf*ck that is Brexit and you think thats a good thing?
The UK is seen as a untrustworthy basketcase, where people that even voted for Brexit have now changed their mind because they've started to realise that it'll mean lorry's parked beside their houses in Kent, longer q's at your border with the EU and higher prices in the shop.
Not to mention you've already gone into a recession due to covid and the expected impacts from a no deal brexit are twice as worse as the impacts from covid.
You also got the hardline Tory's back in power with a majority who see no issue with breaking international law and trying to best to bring back the troubles to Northern Ireland. Any troubles back in Northern Ireland will be purely the fault of Westminister and the Democrats in the US will sink any hope the UK have of a good US trade deal.
Oh, not to mention that even before you no deal the sheer amount of banking, medical and other jobs the UK has lost because company's and EU organisations no longer want to be on the UK. Lets use a small example shall we?
The EU medicines regulator was based in london and had 900 people in the office, they moved to Amsterdam.
Now its not just the 900 jobs gone from the area, its also the countless conferences that brought many, many thousands into London are now gone. That means loss to shops, hotels, taxi's etc. A massive knock on effect and thats just one organisation.
