I have an experimental aircraft with 3d printed fairings and a clamp to hold some cables. In the US, in 2023 34% of new General aviation aircraft were "experimental" and they make up about 10% of the total GA fleet. Legally, the owner can do almost any maintinance they want without faa approval aside from vague regulations about "major modifications" such as installing a different model of engine. I do have an aerospace engineering degree and have a good idea of the properties of my filament and its operating environment :)
3d-printed phone/ipad mounts are common and an aquantance made one from PLA that warped in the sun :)
