Until this launch I watched every Starship launch live in sheer admiration of what the engineers there have accomplished. Then Musk went full nazi. Nobody wants space nazis. Nobody. Hope every launch explodes until he's bankrupt. I just feel sorry for the poor engineers working for that tyrant.

It's taken until the PS5 for 3D audio via headphones to become main-stream again after Creative Labs patent trolled Aureal's A3D audio tech into oblivion, bought the remains in a fire sale, then shelved the tech indefinitely. That tech was absolutely amazing, way ahead of its time, and Creative's absolutely rubbish EAX tech was just a reverb machine. That's what I remember Creative Labs for.

In an absolutely shock twist, Google is ripping off Apple's approach.... again. The entire Google TV UI is a 1:1 copy of Apple TV, why not just go the extra step.

What most people don't seem to get is that Apple's desire to control everything and choose proprietary technologies over open standards isn't about customer lock-in or any other evil motive, it's simply that if they have control over all aspects of their product AND service, then they can guarantee a positive experience for their customers and do something about making it better. They started out at the mercy of a single carrier, which was very risky, you can completely understand the desire to look for alternative solutions.
