I don't think you understand how this works, Akamai is just a web proxy: Akamai gets free rack space from an ISP, in return Akamai serves content (Itunes, MS, Farmville ;) to the ISP customers thus saving the provider from using their backbone for this cached content. It's a simple system. If you are using OpenDNS Akamai doesn't know which servers to use for your session. Since there is no client software beyond a web browser that is requesting files there isn't a whole lot you can do without adding complexity. Measuring speed is kind of pointless as I can guarantee the cached content at your ISP's datacenter is the best place to download from :) -DRB
