Urban combat robot contest launched in Singapore

kaikaun writes: "Singapore's Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) has launched a contest to build an autonomous urban combat robot, in an indoor version of the DARPA Grand Challenge. The robot must accomplish a set of stipulated tasks in an unfamiliar urban environment within the shortest time, such as climbing stairs, opening doors and operating elevators. The prize is one million Singapore dollars ($652,000). Anyone game?"
