This is not to imply that I am constantly paranoid about terrorist attack. Having been in car accidents, I know the risk every time I get into an automobile. It's just frustrating that everyone seems to live in this world that believes everything concerning themselves (in this case, internet communication) is some sacred entity to be protected at all costs. Will the government abuse this law should it be passed? We don't know yet, do we? Is it opening a door? Maybe, but who's to say they're going to walk through it? It's doesn't seem all that promising if we trust the government enough to protect our freedom, privacy, etc. but don't trust them enough to use these types of laws ethically.
