People spend endless amounts of money on prescription pills.

What would happen if the general public realized you can eat/smoke this simple plant to ease your pain, nausea, insomnia, depression, anxiety, etc? Instead of paying hundreds of dollars a month to pharmaceutical companies an individual could just grow a couple marijuana plants.

Obviously there is a need for medicine. I am not saying we should replace penicillin with weed.

Raindrop uses couchdb as a storage engine and to serve the HTML/CSS/Javascript application itself, while the back-end is primarily written in Python. Although it is early days yet, the concept that you own your data may be what sets this apart from Google Wave."

1Mb Broadband Access Becomes Legal Right In Finland 875

An anonymous reader writes "Starting next July, every person in Finland will have the right to a one-megabit broadband connection, according to the Ministry of Transport and Communications. Finland is the world's first country to create laws guaranteeing broadband access. The Finnish people are also legally guaranteed a 100Mb broadband connection by the end of 2015."

Gameboy Color Boot ROM Dumped After 10 Years 124

An anonymous reader writes "Costis was able to dump the elusive boot ROM from the Gameboy Color by using various voltage and clock glitching tricks. The boot ROM is what initializes the Gameboy hardware, displays the 'GAMEBOY' logo and animation, and makes the trademarked 'cling!' sound effect. Even decapping the CPU had failed previously, but now the boot image and specifics on how it was dumped (along with many photos) are available for download."
