Extrapolating from the company's 10Q is not going to assist you in determining value. First, the 10Q does not reveal purchase price of Slashdot or Freshmeat. Second, page views don't mean much (as compared to uniques) and taking a percentage of theirs is the blind leading the blind. Third, obviously many other factors were inputted into their offering. Fourth, do you mean clickthroughs when referring to "pitches?" Or am I misinterpreting your remarks. You do have value. It is found in the manhours used to create and maintain the site. Your quote of banner sales do not reflect net income. What about overhead? Net is what interests a purchaser. How many years and how much income must he input in order to recoup the investment and then, and only then, get a decent return on the investment? Being outrageous here, perhaps your site has a book value of $75-100,000. Beyond that is all negotiation.
