We saw it years ago with climate data, you re-baseline your historic data each year, so you no longer have a clean base; so you can only see the rise but not to historic drops in areas. So you generalize your sample points which are at a 10-mile grid, and when you get a 1-mile grid, so you go back and infer what your 1-mile grid says into the 10-mile grid without any way to validate it, so you just polluted your data.

AI is based on trained/modeled data, so if you have biased data then your model you train will be bad. As we have seen with the various LLM AIs if you source against biased data; then the model's results will always be biased in favor of that data.

The reason why is because Boeing was able to show that their documentation to the customers showed that new training was required for the new types; and with this training additional updates would be required to their departure and arrival checklists.

This is why MANY other airlines had no issues at all with the aircraft; because they had updated their training protocols, updated their documentation, and kept pushing that information out.

Was what was implemented idiot proof? No. Was what was implemented done to mimic or be easier for a pilot not certified on MAX versions? No. Was the FAA negligent in their testing and approval processes? No.

No, more likely it was the same scenario as hit Yahoo years ago; where they were dependent on number of unique users viewing ads to bill advertisers so they chose to ignore the BOTS hitting pages to bump up the view numbers so they could claim tens-of-millions of unique views when they new it was BOTS.
