This company has owned APC since 2007, so if you've purchased a BackUPS or a replacement battery pack, you're probably among the "sensitive customer" information allegedly involved.

I've mentioned this brand here before, but Sceptre offers "dumb" TV devices. I have absolutely no affiliation with the company, but I'm happy with the one I purchased relatively recently, which works exactly as expected.

Dumb TVs are definitely harder to find but they're still around. Look at Sceptre, for example. I'm not affiliated with them in any way, but I've been a satisfied customer for about a year.

It's available for Firefox and Chrome. You need to allow only slashdot.org and a.fsdn.com to retain full capabilities to read, post, moderate, etc. and you will see no popups. Indeed you'll see (almost) nothing beyond the main content.

The settlement site has an embedded script in every page from googletagmanager.com and it requires a Goolge reCAPTCHA (thus scripts from both google.com and gstatic.com) just to login after registration.

Everyone currently posting here has it just a bit off. From the FDIC page linked a few posts above (with emphasis added):

They did this for two years, about two years ago. Their capsule was filled with nitrogen, rather than a dielectric coolant, but apparently it was quite reliable. We see no commercial offering from them yet, so perhaps it wasn't quite as great of a success as they had hoped.

I'm a bit surprised nobody has mentioned the parallels with Record Player X from Gödel, Escher, Bach.

That "bizzaro" layout is the ISO standard. They offer both the ISO layout and the ANSI layout (where Enter is rectangular), in multiple layouts, and you can actually request custom artwork on each key as well as on the laptop lid. They have a fairly interesting page describing all of this.
