my wife and I have a different system on spending. Big chunk of paycheck goes into the household account. Rest of the paycheck goes into our individual accounts. Household account pays for mortgage, utilities, food, major purchases, and stuff like that. Individual accounts are for anything you damn well please, no questions asked. We've haven't had a arguement about money in the 5 years we've been married nor in 8 years since we started this.
