As if we didn't have enough crap, non-addictive games as it is. Now, we're trying to make all the good ones crap as well.
Let's face it, this guy seemed to have enough problems as it is, and playing Everquest all the time was a mere symptom. The game's publishers are no more to blame than the company that made the gun he shot himself with.
And what on earth do they hope to prove by finding out what he was doing just before he died? What, did he get beaten up in the game? Did he get stiffed by one of his mates? Personally I think there can be absolutely no way any kind of legal action for damages can remotely get near court. What on earth are the grounds? Are we going to start seeking damages from the TV station he was watching as well?
Personally, I hope this gets laughed out of court.
