The Indian Supreme Court is actually more independent than the US Supreme Court - the judges are chosen by a collegium of judges and the only role that the government has is to rubber stamp the choices - it can delay the rubber stamp for 6 months, but cannot really do much more than that. Compare with the US, where the SC judges are 'selected' by the executive and 'approved' by Congress.

Now, wrt the ethnic cleansing charge on Modi and his cohort, the Supreme Court looked into those charges, figured it needed an independent investigation, appointed a Special Investigative Tribunal, got the report, and found that the report was extremely detailed and very well done. The SIT found no proof that Modi had any role to play in the riots (2012-2013)

People appealed to the Court, which looked again at the report, again found that it was detailed and covered all possible angles, and then rejected the appeals.

And you, sitting in America, reading the same mainstream media that once pushed stories of Weapons of Mass Destruction, believe you know more than the completely independent body that looked into those accusations for more than a decade.

As for India being up there when it comes to terrorism - you white boys sponsored Bin Laden and gang AND Pakistan when it was convenient for you, even when India suffered collateral damage in Kashmir. Actually, Wikipedia does operate in India. It regularly runs donation drives in India, where payments can be made in Rupees, thru UPI, which works only with Indian bank accounts. I know because I donate.
