I'm always interested in hacks of the original-style Macintosh since I used to have an SE. When I saw the story on the Macintosh 2004 I was a little disappointed it didn't have a screen in it. Other people did mention some other cool case hacks:

I wish I still had that SE to do something like this. I had a //c complete with external 5.25 and 3.5 drives and that damn heat transfer printer, maybe a Mini-ITX would have fit in there?

This week is the last week of the contract job I've been at for a while, and look what Slashdot posts! The Surprising Benefits of Being Unemployed. Ok, so a story on How to Get a Job Now would have been better, but I'm impressed, Slashdot.

Heard about the Institute for Applied Autonomy while looking at BoingBoing. The GraffitiWriter, a remote control car that uses spray paint to print text on the ground, would be a cool toy.

So Verizon has wifi APs where their payphones used to be in Manhattan, which people are now stealing. Well I noticed on some Verizon payphone locations in Boston where the payphones were recently removed. Is Boston getting the wifi AP payphones too?

The Phillies new ballpark will be named Citizens Bank Park. See what its supposed to look like. I remember going to Veterans' stadium as a kid, and I never knew what was wrong with it. But since then, I've seen Camden Yards, and Fenway, and I know now. Plus, perception is reality. If most people think it sucks, it will suck.
