Seems it would be easy enough to craft an automated test on a hardware platform that could wall through an install on a few chip set revisions. It would cost just a few engineers.... Another issue is there is so much garbage cold calling going on and phishing via snail mail and otherwise that it is not really safe to talk to folks (or businesses) you don't already know and have met face to face. Things improve if I start the conversation, but I don't expect contact outside of businesses and even they have issues wasting time with folks that cold call them.

Sounds like they do need registration, insurance, and specific enforcement partially paid for by those fees for excessively powered bikes. Charge by bike weight as that's what drives pedestrian injuries and likely speed capability. Mandate lights and speedometers so they can comply with safety speed limits

I would suggest that this approach (of using algorithms -only) creates echo chambers where autogenerated playlists are so constrained by the model, eventually you don't get things you'd enjoy. The 'mood' described here is why some folks have 2-3 accounts where they alter their like/dislikes based on mood so the algorithms won't wall off what they want to hear. And really, that's weird. Did apple really have it right 20 years ago with the iPod model?

While the users expect all this fun stuff from parsing their data. The music industry is doing to use that to formulate the next set of earworms. And target folks with retail therapy options when they are weak. And goodness knows what else. Just like AI feeding on itself, these algorithms shut off new music from autogenerated playlists I'm favor of boring things we know by heart. I suppose some folks like that, but I want new music from artists I have never heard of that I can experience. And TBH, for the costs of these subscriptions, you can make your own playlists with superior variety.

This is somewhat ironic to say. Elon Musk said that BEVs as budget cars failed. And he was right. BEVs only succeed when they are luxury with high margins. BEV vs ICE in the budget market is clearly in favor of ICE. Budget car consumers live largely in apartments and Folks in apartments cannot reliably charge an EV--you need a house with a carport or garage to daily charge a BEV. That means your target market is mostly folks with fairly nice homes and disposable income that could buy a luxury car of any type. Not the folks beating the 5th life out of a Toyota from the 90's.

Clearly you are still using styrofoam cups! Envormentally insensitive folks are not the target market.

At least you can let the AI subscription lapse to ditch that 'feature'. And if they limit range or power with a subscription, that'll lengthen battery lifespan. Although, that implies they won't just brick it after 5 years anyways...
