OK so it is agreed that we here in this Macbook design meeting know everything about every application that every user will ever want to run, and none of them would benefit from having a touchscreen. Moving on to the next item on the agenda... Adding a touchscreen to the Macbook keyboard. Sounds cool! Thoughts?

Maybe favicons could be better implemented as a general DNS based solution to associate small images with any names independent of web apps. That would make them more efficient and less easy to abuse to track users.

So something like dig IMG _logo._png.faphorse.com gets you a base64 encoded image of the type requested. Some images could fit in a TXT record.

The press release will claim that nobody could have predicted that the system would be abused by criminals, registering as their intended victims, to plant trigger words in order to cause our brave first responders to overreact.

It's blatantly obvious. This does nothing to fix the underlying problems.
