daveapriltwenty writes: Here is the first version of the book that was produced based on a study of the principles I call Structured Emergence ([spam URL stripped]). It led me down unexpected paths. Paths which required the confrontation of consciousness itself, and even the concept of time. This is the first edition manuscript, ready for commentary, and still very much subject to revision. Is my feeling that releasing it earlier is better than waiting for it to be perfect.

On the heels of the knowledge that DeepSeek likely distilled western models to create R1, the latest standard-breaking model out of China is also claiming, immediately, to be an OpenAI product and not Chinese. Initial interaction at the link. It's short.

After giving me false information it tries to fabricate a reason I might be mistaken about the identity of its creators, a reason which is based entirely on the name I gave it in custom instructions. Talk about opportunist. Two interactions and it is gaslighting me.
