The dumb terminal machines that dispense Metrocards to ride NYC Subways run on Windows. No wonder so many are out of service at any given time.
Overkill? Absolutely! The least the Transit Authority could do is set up kiosks so riders could surf and check email while waiting for the next train. Maybe throw in MS Office so we could get those last-minute reports done before work.
