If MS decides to force OSS projects to jump through higher and higher hoops in order to distribute on Windows, then projects will stop doing so, and drop support for Windows.

If Windows no longer allows monetization of these efforts, it will make less free software generally available on Windows.

That will drive away more users to freer OSes.
