I'm amazed how many +5 comments are OT, ceramic != Teflon. I'm not sure how long I've been using a metal spatula in my ceramic nonstick fry pan (10 years seems realistic), but the fused (via 30,000 degree plasma sounds reasonable) ceramic coating is still all there and the pan works better than the day it was given to me.
