I have created quite a few frontends in Extjs in the past few years. It's a fabulous tooklit, totally extendable. For me, however, there's a large missing piece to this puzzle which is an interface designer much like Qt's Designer or Apple's Interface Builder. Having the ability to get instantaneous feedback while laying out and tweaking things is essential. The Cappuccino guys are supposed to have something this year, which is great. Apple's improved the usefulness of Dashcode on SL with bindings feature, but the IDE itself is still too unstable for real development IMHO.
If Apple could wrap-up existing bugs related to code generation in Dashcode and make the thing bulletproof like IB, I'd be a happy clam â" even with a limited (as shipped) Parts library.
