Comment Check out The BRAVE browser! (Score 1) 465

If your a Long time Firefox user like me. (Value your privacy.) Brave Browser is worth a look. Project is led by the co-founder of the Mozilla Project and creator of JavaScript, Brendan Eich and it is FAST. Like faster than Chrome and Firefox - has https everywhere and add blocking built in like never seen before. This thing is revolutionary keep an eye on it.

Comment Recent changes to fire TV are terrible. (Score 1) 96

I used to love Fire TV and use it almost exclusively but the changes they made to the UI, (Homepage and search category's.) are really terrible so I may look to moving to Roku player. (Even the voice search is fubar after 'Alexa' updates.) Basically after recent changes Fire TV is now constantly trying to sell u content even if you try to search in free Amazon Prime only content. (They have actually made it difficult to search for your free Prime media and your purchased library only. The changes to the homepage and search categories are really terrible so I may look to moving to Roku as well.

All these accidents are not happening to the far more numerous: mine ships, cutters, amphibious assault ships, carriers, support ships, patrols ships, LCS etc they have all happened to our high end air defense ships and only those with ballistic missile defense capability and even then only ships in sailing in Asia around the South China Sea and Korean peninsula! The Mathematical possibility of this being a random series of events is way to low to brush it off. Also when the MacCain tragedy was first reported CNN stated "The destroyer had lost ability to steer the ship just prior to the accident." Now that statement looks to have been removed and has not been repeated this (And many other factors.) makes me suspicious

Damn if just mentioning Winamp doesn't bring back fond memory's of days long past..I feel like its 1997 all over again - America is at the height of our power - Cold war is over, Grunge Music is playing everywhere and most people don't even know anyone who owns a cellphone. Good old days if we ever had them.

Firefox has been moving in the right direction as far as multi process/performance updates. I don't care about the VR atm but the performance panel could be a positive addition. On the desktop Firefox is now close to- or at parity with Chrome in most benchmarks so I cant complain but I want them to focus on the baisics and forget about the flashy extras. (I hide pocket and the like first thing when I set up Firefox.)

"Show me hard evidence of live (or fossilized) microbes, or give it a rest." Sure, we have such evidence already. Found in the middle of rare class meteorites that fell on earth and even some we brought here from space missions. Yes we have already found evidence of life in space. In 9 different meteorites we have found fossilized evidence of indigenous cyanobacteria (Blue green algae.) I believe the science is very sound, the problem is politically the government will shy away from openly supporting any evidence that may indicate life on earth may have been seeded from elsewhere.

Comment One deep Rabbit hole (Score 2) 498

Because we have yet to see any supporting evidence and this idea is being pushed by US intelligence agency's also in charge of data collection, we should wonder if this is really about creating an environment where data is forced to flow over the network and can be intercepted, (perhaps a first step) if we ban laptops surely other devices must follow. Where does this rabbit hole end?
