Wikipedia is in a situation where they don't want to claim any responsibility for integrity, yet at the same time this false sense of integrity is precisely what makes their site so successful.
A normal Encyclopedia's usefullness is directly proportionate to the wisdon of the writer. Wikipedia's usefulness is directly proportionate to the intelligence of the reader.
Do you see why?
If you are unable to read something critically and check references and strip out what sounds like a load of BS, then Wikipedia shouldn't be in your bookmarks. For those of us that are able to filter through raw information collected in one place, recognize bias and follow up on references, Wikipedia is a wonderful resource.
