Both Mostek and Signetics were second sources for the Motorla 68000. But that may haver happened too late to be part of IBM's PC decision.

Depends how you interpret "my". The first computer that I programmed was an IBM 1620 II at the UW-Milwaukee Computer Center, starting in 1963. The first computer that I owned was a Mostek Z80 development system, starting in 1983. My first computer that other people would recognize was a Mac, starting in 1985.
