I have troubleshooting Microsoft Windows 95 through XP including managing Service Pack installations, editing the Registry, training users and detecting and removing spyware skills. I also have experience installing, configuring and using other operating systems such as Debian Linux, Mandriva (Mandrake) Linux, Red Hat Linux (Fedora Core 3), Apple Macintosh (prior to OS X) and x86 BeOS 4.5. I am definitely not a Linux expert by any means. My practical understanding of TCP/IP networking and computer troubleshooting was developed at Internet access provider and continued at a national telecommunications company as a Service Assurance Management Center manager for 15 months. My experiences in the I.T. industry over the past 11 and 1/2 years leads me to believe many organizations overlook "hidden" opportunities to use technology they already have to their advantage. Also, the majority of corporate and government users are not given a "Welcome Aboard" orientation to the technology available to them.

It isn't easy being the parent of a six-year-old. However, it's a pretty small price to pay for having somebody around the house who understands computers.
