I went to A&M as an undergrad a few years ago with CS as my major. Fortran is used in the intro to engineering classes (basically, they are CS classes for engineers who don't want to be computer scientists). My roommate was in aerospace, and he was required to learn a lot of Fortran. The CS intro classes use Java and C. The basic CS class for a business major is (or at least was) taught in C. You can take Fortran or Cobol as an elective if you are CS major, but neither is a required class.
On a different note, I've actually got a job where I have to code in Cobol, now, so I can definitely vouch that there are still many applications for these languges.
