+1 I like to make music in a basement studio I've built myself and I could care less if I ever get a cent for my music. Mind you, I'm not doing this for a living. Then again, doing this for a living is a risk you take. If music becomes a "non-profitable career" I highly doubt we'll lose anything of worth anyway. Linux is a LOT easier to push aside than iOS. The fit & finish of the iPad combined with iOS completely trumps that of a Linux-based netbook; it's easy to migrate people when the difference between the products is hard to notice (basic users don't see the huge advantages of a *nix underpinning). The heavy coats of polish Apple has put into both its iOS and API GUI is what is going to make the Windows tablet look like a turd when compared to the iPad.
