That company has ruled the whole world's IT for 40 years. No someone is inspecting. Well, maybe that is right direction, just it's too little too late (40 years).

Exactly. MS has been the worst monopoly for 40 years. It seems it is the only allowed one. And these actions against Google and others makes MS stronger. That might be the goal even.

Maybe it is MS "advicing" EU to this.

There are much higher global barriers to enter workstation software business. And that monopoly can continue doing what ever it wants. Just one example, if you launch Chrome in Windows, you get a warning and advice to use MS own software.

So, only MS monopoly is allowed. It might even be that this decision was made by MS.

MS does not want to compete, it never has had to. It just wants to end competition. Many says Google is a monopoly in search business. I say that's far better than giving all to MS.

MS has been the monopoly for workstation software for 30 years and is using that position to gain a monopoly in cloud. But why AWS?

Actually this sound like MS ordered the investigation.

"This is the kind of innovation (aestetic rather than technical) that made MS grow to such a huge size today." MS had not to do any innovative work after IBM made their OS the standard for PC. After that it only had to keep killing any competitive startups whit it's unlimited wallet.
