That's pure tripe. I don't get why so many self-professed know-it-alls get bent out of shape when someone expresses an opinion that differs from their own. The writer is simply discussing how Linux is perceived by users not steeped command-line computing. Maybe you enjoy screwing around with pointless technical nonsense, but I guarantee you, outside your apparent, tiny little ego bubble, there's a big world of people who'd rather be productive than wank over configuration.
