* Devs. Wow, just about perfect * Star Trek: Discovery. A load of fun, I almost cried when a certain TOS scene came up * The Expanse. Dark, foreboding, good science and great effects * Dark (Netflix). This is mind blowing and excellent - but ONLY if you watch the original language version (non-dubbed). Somehow the dubbed version is so much worse.

I am a big movie buff. Two of the most memorable scenes I've ever encountered occur in this film. C'mon now, a sci-fi, horror, political romantic comedy centered around the subject of cannibalism? And with some of the most luxurious set design found outside a Terry Gilliam fever dream? If you've never watched this film and you like Gilliam, or dystopian themes, or dark melancholy with a sweet, creamy center, go find it now.

After 30 years (!) this is STILL - by far - my favorite all-time movie. And it is still socially and politically relevant. However, it seems to be an extremely polarizing movie. Everyone I've ever talked to about it either LOVES it, or HATES it. Very interesting.
