Me too, and since the Archos 101 is fairly inexpensive he could just buy it now and if he really uses the tablet a lot buy himself a Honeycomb tablet in 6-8 months. I plan to do the same if Honeycomb really can't run on the Archos 101 and the prices for Honeycomb tablets are good. I think with all the competition coming up you could get an Archos 101 now and a Honeycomb tablet in 8 months for a similar price you would pay for the Galaxy Tab now.

An anonymous reader writes "After months of waiting, the Google Latitude social maps service finally arrived for the iPhone ... but thanks to an Apple rejection of the natively developed app, it's a web app. Says Google on their blog, 'We worked closely with Apple to bring Latitude to the iPhone in a way Apple thought would be best for iPhone users. After we developed a Latitude application for the iPhone, Apple requested we release Latitude as a web application in order to avoid confusion with Maps on the iPhone.' But it gets worse for iPhone users: 'Unfortunately, since there is no mechanism for applications to run in the background on iPhone (which applies to browser-based web apps as well), we're not able to provide continuous background location updates in the same way that we can for Latitude users on Android, BlackBerry, Symbian and Windows Mobile.' Latitude has been sprouting new features lately and is an interesting take on social networking, but it looks like Apple is determined to ensure its users only get a seriously crippled implementation compared to the Android and WinMo versions. Isn't h.264 the only one of those two that has hardware acceleration. When you want to deliver high quality video on a website for many and even smaller devices it makes a lot of sense to use the format that can be decoded by available hardware decoders. Modern mobile phones can decode h264 in hardware, so can even low-end CPU Netbooks. H264 sounds like the obvious choice for internet video to me.

Only two vehicles have accomplished this feat before, the last 11 years ago. "The unmanned vehicle is remotely operated by pilots aboard a surface ship via a lightweight tether. Its thin, fibre-optic tether to the research vessel Kilo Moana allows the submersible to make deep dives and be highly manoeuvrable. Nereus can also be switched into a free-swimming, autonomous vehicle. ... The Challenger Deep... is the deepest abyss on Earth at 11,000m-deep, more than 2km (1.2 miles) deeper than Mount Everest is high. At that depth, pressures reach 1,100 times those at the surface."

IANAL but I had about two or three cases where friends got into that trap as well. Well, although this is legally binding in Germany there is something called the "Widerrufsrecht". Your friend should send them a formal letter (by e-mail, fax or postal mail) in which she says that she is using here right of the "Widerrufsrecht". The nice things about these scam sites is that while they make use of the EULA and legal agreement they posted on their page they also have to respect these laws as well. This worked for all my friends that had this issue. Should work for your friend as well!
