I recently had the task of making sure that all the access points in our downtown office were secured (which they were). During this scan I ended up picking up some 1607 other access points and of those, 417 were without security. After looking through them, a lot of the unsecured access points were either public wifi or guest wireless but there were a few consumer WAPs and mobile hotspots in that list as well. Looking at those numbers it would seem that most businesses have figured out that securing wifi is important (even if they are one of the 179 using WEP).

Couldn't the white house just as easily fabricated a few twitter stories that would correlate with that fabricated agenda? It wouldn't even need to be a very good story - just good enough to cause confusion as to where Obama actually was.

Why isn't there any technical details about how this hack happened? For something that happened almost 2 years ago it seems there's surprisingly little information on what actually happened. It seems this article is more concerned with blaming China for attacking America than it is giving details on what actually happened.

How can something so dark create so much light...
