Saved searches are also a very useful feature.

Messages > Search > Save

You can create a shortcut key to a search that can be targeted at any variety of:

Item type
Email account
Folder within an email account (mostly using BES)
Item status (read state, draft, etc)

For people with a large volume of email and little time, this is a great feature.
