This is exactly what I came here for. The global AI started out as a tool exactly like this, for a company exactly like google.

This is a terrible idea. Trying to read Glass while driving is VERY difficult, and you get the false sense of security that you are still "looking" at the road, when really you are not at all focused on anything in front of you. I tried it for a bit and was amazed how hard it was and how dangerous it felt. I would never use it like that. I think I'd be safer taking quick glances down at my phone with the maps app than trying to use Glass.

No one here seems to be realizing that this is completely about Azure. Microsoft has been moving very strongly into the IaaS and PaaS market with the various Azure offerings over the last 5 years, and it's totally clear that they are making this a huge part of their business going forward. This is why they are promoting the number of servers they have, because providing those resources to people on demand is how they will make a large part of their revenue going forward.

Something tells me the political parties in Sweden are not as divisive as in the US (I have no knowledge of Swedish politics, but I could imagine both parties being reasonably sane, and not extreme, and probably both to the left of Obama).

The performance increase I found on my laptop after installing a SSD was amazing. I could never ever return to a regular drive.

The point isn't that a high end Mac costs more than a high end PC.

It's that most people don't need high end computers, but if you want a Mac, you end up paying for those features anyway.

If a slower 2nd tier processer, 2GB of RAM, and a 120GB drive are good enough, you can save a lot of money if not buying a Mac.

It's really kinda sad how many people here are:

a) Trying to "solve" this womans problems (like explaining how to connect to a DSL routed w/o installing software, or suggesting OO for MS Office replacement). She didn't post a question this is a news article and we all know how to solve her problems, that isn't the point

b) Trying to blame her for being an idiot, airhead, dumbass whatever.

The point is, almost everyone is an idiot, dumbass, airhead. Most people on this site are in the top couple percent in terms of tech knowledge and probably overall intelligence.

Most people are stupid.
They can't figure this crap out.
They never will.

Just remember when you think to yourself "this is easy", for most the population, it is impossible to comprehend. People are dumb.

Heck, we (Americans) RE-elected Bush. Think about that...
