I've been using the Seeed Studio Xiao ESP32-C3, a bit underpowered, but works well-enough for my needs for a microcontroller. The Espressif idf dev environment is quite nice and the code runs much faster than stuff built using Arduino IDE's frameworks. The -S3 and -S6 variants look more reasonably powered. I also have A StarFive VisionFive-2-lite that is running linux at about the same speed as a Pi 3.

I upgraded my laptop, leaving my desktop on Catalina for now. It took a while to download, but once it started it went fine. The 12Gb downloaded in about 40 minutes. A few reboots later and everything looks good. I'm still adjusting to the UI changes. I've not had any issues with audio production software (even from vendors who discouraged the upgrade; not that I do much audio work on this laptop). My word processor, web browser, terminal and other such tools are all just fine. I'll upgrade the desktop once I get confirmation from my audio interface's manufacturer that it will work. I usually wait several months to upgrade that system. I'll probably spring for a new M1 Apple silicon Mini to test early next year.
