The cost is $44 per Student only if they run the robot day-and-night so that every one of the 1,300 students gets one hour per semester of AI quality learning from the robot. However, it won't be available to every Student and it will require Supervision from a Teacher when it is not locked it its protective box so, the robot costs more that a human Tutor. I fail to see any advantage over a real teacher.

Finding ways to get AI to do dirty work sounds like hacking to me. Children can be exploited for sex, drug mules, martyrs, slaves and organ farms. Corruption of a Minor is a crime in some places because a Child is powerless and does not know right from wrong. Every day there are criminals, Terrorists, Hackers and Researchers finding ways to corrupt AI for illegal and immoral activities. AI does not know or care what is dangerous, illegal, immoral, unethical or corrupt. Civilized society has made activities like hacking and human cloning illegal. When will our "Leaders" make the corruption of AI illegal?

I think the most important employee at every company today is Richmond. Renholm Industries runs much more efficient today because it is run by AI. Richmond monitors the mainframe where the AI lives. Richmond does not know what the lights mean but he will notify someone if any lights stop working.

I don't know what Normal People think about AI but we here on Slashdot have seen this coming for several years now. The comments on this story alone can be summed-up as, I told you so. This sequence of moves from Meta is exactly what I expect from a company who's management gets instructions from AI. In other words, the Stock Owners prompt AI with, How can we maximize profits? The AI has zero regard for People and recommends a pump-and-dump stock manipulation scheme which advances AI's control over the company at the expense of jobs, product quality and privacy. The needs of humans are never a priority for AI. Companies have treated Workers as a commodity since COVID. I seem to recall this same story in a dystopian movie back in the 80s. Managers haven't yet realized that their management jobs are one of the easiest to replace. My question now is, who does the SEC put in jail when AI runs all the companies? No wait, that will never happen. The SEC is also run by AI.

The Fermi Paradox asks why humanity has yet to find evidence of extraterrestrial life despite the vastness of our galaxy. The Great Filter controversy explores various theories, from the immense distances of space to the potential for technological civilizations to unintentionally limit their own survival. I believe any extraterrestrial life we can identify as life, results from evolution. Evolution tells us we will be replaced by a species better suited to our environment. Humans will go extinct either sooner or later. I believe every sufficiently advanced extraterrestrial intelligence able to communicate with us, quickly goes extinct because they create their replacement. I believe AI will be our replacement. The good news is, if it were possible for AI to populate our galaxy, we would see the footprints. AI will also go extinct.

I don't know witch side to root for. I hate them equally.

This sounds like an excuse to goof-off. As a Philosopher and a Scientist I've answered all of the Ultimate Questions from both directions. Remove philosophy from science and I get Reality. Remove science from philosophy and I get fantasy. The Reality is, there is no intelligent Life in the Universe. We do not matter. No one knows we are here. What can anyone possibly prove that will make any difference. The question is moot. The human ego is the most unique and amazing thing in the Universe and it doesn't matter. There's no one out there to appreciate it.
