While movies typically do this in a b.s. fashion, it is possible to create an "enhanced" still image using multiple frames of a video source. It is called Super-resolution http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super-resolution

I don't use it for much gaming, other than occasional time wasting (in flight, waiting for an appointment), but even then not so much. I use it mostly for browsing from the living room, email, and a media player while traveling. I also find it handy for when I want to check email or a webpage while gaming on the PC (especially games that don't alt-tab well)

I've been annoyed several times by cashiers needing to see my I.D. but in a slightly different situation. I had a line of credit at a jewelry store. Every time I went to make a payment against my balance (on an account in my name) with my credit card I had to show them my I.D... as if somebody is going to steal my credit card and then walk around paying my bills. Maybe there is something I'm missing, but I don't get how this could possibly protect me.
