Another Sony Format Bites the Dust 425

Lam1969 writes "Reuters is reporting that Universal Media Disc, Sony's PSP-only movie format, is about to kick the bucket. While the discs' novelty factor resulted in strong sales shortly after the PSP's May 2005 launch, interest rapidly dropped and movie companies are no longer interested in producing titles. From the article: "Universal Studios Home Entertainment has completely stopped producing UMD movies, according to executives who asked not to be identified by name. Said one high-ranking exec: 'It's awful. Sales are near zilch. It's another Sony bomb -- like Blu-ray."'"

Journal Journal: Mac mini!!! and stop whining about it!

Wow people, it's true! I was getting hyped up from the rumors, and it turns out smaller and nicer than even expected! And I really am annoyed by all of this criticism. Really, it is nearly the same price as a low end box from another company. Just other companies have rebates and shit, so they come out a little cheaper. But, theyre big ugly boxes, whereas the Mac is tiny and looks great! Seriously people, quit bitching about "oh, it doesn't come with a mouse or keyboard", many will buy it

Journal Journal: SCO's case against linux

Ok, heres the way I see it...

SCO's execs have realized that they are going under soon, so they decide a little campaign to scrape up whatever money they can and inflate stock prices is in order. Then, they start suing IBM, RedHat, etc and they all sue them back...meanwhile, we have the sudden selling of stocks going on...so, I think we're definitely gonna get the SEC involved at some point, the company is gonna get squashed in court, and hopefully, the execs will see some jail time.
