Most programming teams always have these superhero
wannabe's that think they are gods gift to the company.

I used to play that game also. I would work all
hours and in my spare time showing up the other programmers. I would constantly critisize the rest of the team showing them up in front of the manager. Displaying their incommpetence and showing you can do a better job was soon replaced with disgust and anger.

Then I saw the light - (after 10 years)

I realized that I was the one.

The one who by my "take charge" attitude gave
them reason to let me do everything.

I now know that there will ALWAYS be programmers
who are learning the ropes and who for whatever reason need some reassurance and support to get
their work done.
Yes , I would argue that its not my job
-- but neither is it to be the cheerleader ..

Im now living a better life for it.
