I have loved fixing bugs for the past 30 years. Why? Because every bug fixed is a lesson learned for me and my colleagues. For us to become better. Fixing bugs on AI generated code does not have this element of happiness and progress. There are a billion bugs to be fixed and nobody will get any better at anything by this process.

cherouvim writes: The React Foundation, announced in late 2025, has now officially launched and moved React to an independent home under the Linux Foundation. Meta transferred ownership of React, React Native, and related projects, ending sole control.

The foundation provides neutral governance and long-term support, while technical direction stays with core maintainers. Founding members include Amazon, Huawei, Meta, Microsoft, Vercel, and others.

This development is important, since, React was long tied to Meta, and some developers were wary of single-company control. A neutral foundation reduces that risk and strengthens long-term trust in the project.
