Hi there, this is hackernews user chadlavi. You really took that quote from me out of context. I was saying that while it may seem weird because apple doesn't position themselves as a payments processor, they are, and this is standard behavior. The only scandal is the exorbitant 30% fee. Please don't copypasta things random people online say to make them sound like concerned man-on-the-street interviewees.
