C!BR, shtick ok, artistry lacking (Score 1)

With much anticipation I awaited the comimg of Captured by Robots to our Oklahoma City hole in the wall, 'the Green Door.' Word of mouth and a trip through the site had hopes high...with such an elaborate concept I naturally assumed the music would be equally as well developed, even if a bit inaccessible at first listen. Sadly, after the lengthy introduction of plot and the robot oppressors the only thing to hold interest was the delight of seeing these cobbed together mechanicals do their thing. Once THAT novelty wore off not even going over budget on beer could keep me on the floor. I closed my eyes in an attempt to accurately assess the musicality of the act and all I could think of was what to do when I got home. Go to the site, enjoy the concept...that is where the road comes to an end.
