It is disturbing how my efforts at taking part in the metamoderation system these days involves me reviewing multiple 'bad' moderations, presumably made by moderators without a modicum of cow sense.

Even browsing comments at -1, I come across perfectly decent opinions marked as Flamebait because they are: too short, or too strongly worded. This place is starting to resemble a Jesuit monastery.

While I do this, I noticed over time that my comments are kinda ignored, even if I find them informative (example [slashdot.org]) , or somewhat funny/worth noticing [slashdot.org] Well, the whole situation is sad

It is already a flawed system to begin with -- a trait that is excusable in every human system -- but its flaws are compounded by a chronically problematic userbase.
