It interesting to speculate about whether organic data storage is possible, how to go about organizing the data, searching it, and finding the answer you want, but we are living models of ONE possible end product.
There is bound to be a convergence of biomedical technology and electrial engineering in our lifetimes, as one other person speculated, maybe within the next 20 years or so.
I don't honestly think we have anything to worry about. If the technology get out of control and we end up like the Borg on Star Trek; no big deal really. There are fates worse then death, just look at the dinosaurs!
