Being involved in distribution for the past fifteen years, I have a general idea. The stuff NewEgg is using is pretty standard. The pick to light systems have been around for years and have very few problems. The sortation and conveyance requires regular preventative maintenance, but is very reliable and usually trouble free. You'd be suprised at how long some companies have been using warehouses like this. I recently worked for a very well known, worldwide footwear and apparel company and their DC is sixteen years old. It still cranks out 250,000 pairs a day with very little downtime.
