It's highly unlikely that the lawsuit will gain any traction since the patent was granted in 2009 a full 5 years after world of warcraft was developed. I would wager that they were most likely playing world of warcraft when they "invented" it.

There is a reason for this that most people eager to hate will conveniently overlook, Applecare does not cover malware. Apple is not bound by any agreement to diagnose or remove malware or repair problems caused by an an infected program or file. Also, if a Apple employee were to remove a file from an end user's computer and the computer stopped functioning in any way, Apple would be liable. They don't do it. Don't confuse their unwillingness to do stupid shit that leaves them at risk of a lawsuit as them "skirting" an issue.

This is really brilliant. It actually shows what has been hard to prove in a very clear and understandable way. Sometimes pirating is justified, and sometimes the developer really is asking for it. Bravo!

In my humble opinion, if you have developed a weapon that 700 people are willing to volunteer to be shot by it, you have already failed.

Aside from countless hours of Soul Calibur, my Dreamcast days were filled with Wild Arms and Dead or Alive 2. A Soul Calibur remake with updated graphics would make pixels squirt from my pants. Just sayin....

Same thing happened to me. I have a 4 month old Alienware computer and after it suddenly shut off (not the low power auto-hibernate, but more like a sudden loss of power hard shut down) I tried rebooting and am having huge issues. The OS will boot but during startup I am prompted to run checkdisk. If I don't skip the test, my computer locks up when the counter reaches 1. Of course I also get the error about replacing my battery once in the OS, along with erratic program behavior most likely because of some disk error. I would suggest that anyone running a laptop without a hardware warranty should consider going back to XP before they lose their battery or worse.
