Comment Maybe some companies have better screening? (Score -1) 63

When I got hired for my remote job, I had to take a drug test within 20 miles of where my listed address was by the company of their choosing plus I had to verify that I was a US citizen. I guess not impossible to fake, but not easy. Especially when the drug test company re-verifies my information in person and reports directly back to the company.

Air Canada Ordered To Provide Nut-Free Zone 643

JamJam writes "Air Canada has been told to create a special 'buffer zone' on flights for people who are allergic to nuts. The Canadian Transportation Agency has ruled that passengers who have nut allergies should be considered disabled and accommodated by the airline. Air Canada has a month to come up with an appropriate section of seats where passengers with nut allergies would be seated. The ruling involved a complaint from Sophia Huyer, who has a severe nut allergy and travels frequently. Ms. Huyer once spent 40 minutes in the washroom during a flight while snacks were being served."

Don't forget that St. Helens is as close to Portland as Mt. Hood. Can you say double whammy? On another note, I was at the Newberry Caldera a couple of weeks ago and went on a short hike over and obsidian field. Pretty amazing what volcanoes can do.
