Most journalists who write these kind of articles do not do it to report the truth, but to sell newspapers (or click). They do not care about the truth, which is why they accept these papers. Especially the papers which align with what the paper want people to think and belive.

Even the original LP12 is overpriced, you need to throw serious money after the base model to make it to what people think it is. This is just silly money for a vinyl player.

I find that to day there is a more notice and music in the background when someone is talking - I have gotten used to have the center channel 2-5db higher than the rest, which help. But I still have subtitles on when there is an option to do so. I then partly lost the hearing on one ear, and have permanent tinnitus (cannot drown it out), that makes for many thing subtitles a must, and then when I moved to having a sound bar I rand into a problem - not many vendors let users change the sound level of the center (dialog) independent I finally found that Bose let you do that - at a price.

I still remember when Google proudly said; that they would not fall in to the microsoft trap and become evil. What do they then call it? They now collect so much information on people that they probably can predict when they go to the toilet, and they make so much money on advertisement that that would probably would stop rotating if someone found a way to block them fully and utterly.

Who the f... enabled telnet on servers these days, it’s one of the most insecure protocols in the first place.

I still find that the use of virtualenv makes Python almost impossible to deal with when it comes to 3rd party libraries, also the lack of a switch/case is basically stupid.

A language without switch/case can't be taken serious (and I do use Python). Some years ago, I had a lengthy discussion with one of the, then primary developers of python, and was told that a dictionary was way better to use, than switch/case. Needlessly, I deicide to get drunk on good redwine instead of continue to talk to him.

Many who are have been hired the last 20 years will be going on pension well after 2038 ... you need to store the date in something - many have resulted in storing dates in strings, which is less than perfect.

Not typesafe, and no switch/case ... what ever rocks your boat.

They say client/server, which could lead one to believe that they are using the Plex Media Server at the back end to provide the music stream (I've not tried the product). What they forget to tell, is that Plex do not allow uses to 100% switch off sharing information with Plex backend infrastructure, and that for the PMS Client (possibly not for the plexamp) an internet connection is required to login in and to use it. The Plex team is under fire for the privacy concern on the forums, but until now nothing much has change, and a number of users have moved to other platforms.
