Its a lot of funding, several billion dollars. Post boxes are being removed, so people cannot easily post their votes in.There is only a week to get the voter card and send it on. If the Post Office does not have the funding then there will not be enough machines and workers to sort the votes.

Most posted ballots are by those who cant get to a voting station because they are old, poor, or working in jobs they cannot get time off from.
These are mainly democrat voters.
It is voter suppression in favour of republicans.
Postal ballot fraud is very small, in fact only one state in recent years had had any proven postal ballot fraud: North Carolina and that was perpetrated by Republicans.
Of course though Donald Trump wants to stop Postal Ballots as much as possible he himself votes by post in Florida but, being a republican state Trump doesnt mind it happening there, as he said recently: 'So Florida has got a great Republican governor, and it had a great Republican governor. Ron DeSantis, Rick Scott, two great governors. And over a long period of time, they’ve been able to get the absentee ballots done extremely professionally. Florida is different from other states.'
I'm not amercian and dont live in america but i find it extraordinary how little americans seem to know whats actually going on in their country.
