I'm not sure a town whose center is an eight-minute drive from the UMass Amherst campus qualifies as remote, but good for them for getting better, faster, cheaper Internet.

The OP mentioned that the US is the only rich country in the world where the government doesn't guarantee paid time off from one's job. Who cares? Whether it's a legal right or a company policy, if you're afraid to take it off for fear of being viewed as a slacker, then you won't take time off. My company gives me paid time off, and I take it. I have no idea whether I'm seen as a slacker or not, and I don't care. If I take too much time off, I have to take it unpaid, and they let me do that, too.
An accident is a mishap which the parties involve did not intend to happen. I prefer the term "collision" because it's factual and leaves motivation and intent out of it. People are routinely arrested for things which they did not intend to do, and are often convicted of them, too.
I assume I've been that person my entire career, as I violate rules left and right and nothing bad ever happens to me. Of course, nothing good ever happens to me, either.
Won't they also need a licensed phlebotomist on site to draw the blood before you have a chance to sober up?
Resale value is irrelevant. If you're already getting a discount because the market fears radiation, your lower resale value will be offset by the lower purchase price now. In other words, your profit or loss when you sell will probably be similar to those of all apartment sellers in Manhattan at time of sale.
Not true. Protestantism teaches salvation through faith alone. If you believe Christ died for your sins and accept Him as your personal savior, you go to heaven, regardless of how you behave afterwards. Catholicism teaches salvation through faith and good works. I'm an atheist, but Catholicism seems fairer in this respect, to me. After all, actions speak louder than worlds.
In a male-dominated world, rage and petulance are not considered emotions. That's why men are "less emotional" than women.
This sounds like the attitude of someone who benefits from things not being fair.
Woe unto those who walk or ride public transit to the cinema.
This is biased. Plenty of people are named Guido, and most of them are not attached to organized crime.
The people who build Backblaze's cases can also build one just for you, which is super-easy, but in quantity 1 it will cost a fair bit more (say 20%) than the price listed.
Google Maps says Monroe (about as far southeast as you can get) is 10 hours 1 minute (597 miles) from Houghton, not 15 hours. Washington DC is 488 miles (8 hours six minutes), so it's about 20% closer in both time and distance. I grew up in Maine, the 39th largest state, and the longest trip one can make within Maine without backtracking was 362 miles or about 6 hours.
Also, few people are going to cross the state on gravel roads. Most will probably use the interstates, which are maintained at least partially with federal money.
I used to fuck anything that moved, but then I thought, "Why limit myself?" Movement is overrated.
Take everything in stride. Trample anyone who gets in your way.
